a few photographs

funny with family in town and a NEW BABY i haven’t found time to be on the computer, but there’s so much i want to record here.  some photographs for now.  babies flicker in their features so much at first, and they change as they unswell from the work of being born.  one photograph is definitely not enough.  i write this one-handed, this perfect new healthy strong gentle real unreal creature cradled in my right arm.

Thank you for sharing, C! Henry really is a little plump nubbin. He’s a keeper, all right. That nose! That amazing upper lip! Those teensy, squished ears. Wish I were there to bring food, to hold him. He’s a lucky little man.

So, so sweet, Courtney! Thank you for these! You are both gorgeous. Enjoy these early days of bonding! I love how babies have those incredibly defined arms and shoulders even though the haven’t lifted a single weight. And I love his golden down in that picture. And his sister looks so beautiful with him, here and on flickr.
